Ben Austin is an experienced business leader with strategic, financial, and operational impact across the world of vehicle electrification. Most recently, he was Head of Electrification for US & Canada Operations at Uber, where he led partnerships and investments in charging infrastructure as well as driver-facing promotions to achieve record-breaking EV adoption on Uber’s path to being a 100% emissions-free rides platform by 2030.

Previously, Ben spent five years at EVgo as Vice President of Account Management where he managed high-stakes partnerships and operational rollouts with major automakers, commercial fleets, and state governments. He also led EVgo’s business development for fleets during a period which included groundbreaking achievements such as the country’s first DCFC network dedicated to a rideshare fleet.

Prior to his work in EV infrastructure, Ben held strategy and management roles at Monitor Deloitte Consulting and Fiverr. Ben holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, and a B.A. in Urban Studies from Columbia University. In his spare time, Ben enjoys camping with his family, competing in bar trivia, solving escape rooms, and exploring the vast tapestry of the Los Angeles food scene.
